Ideas we will use for shots - Joe Gallon

We will use this style of shot for the shot of the attack that takes place after the chef has left the kitchen. The handheld style works well because it gives off a sense of chaos because of the camera shake and slightly lower quality. The lower quality proves that is is a handheld video camera and that it is also being filmed by one of the attackers. This also works well because it doesn't reveal who the other attackers are, fitting in with the thriller theme, because it asks a lot of questions in the opening. The lighting in the clip is also very clever, it draws you towards certain parts of the scene, for example, the gun.  The gun is cleary a big part of the scene and it makes you wonder where the scene will go, and obviously it is used in the next scene on the bike. We would use this in ours but light up whatever weapon was being used in our attack. There are lots of ways that we could do this. But we will probably use some low level lighting on the object because we dont want it to be obviously light up but it has to give you the impression that this weapon is going to be significant in the rest of the film.
